Where the idea of OloTree was born.
Founded in 2026 by an independent software engineer and educational technology innovator from Punjab, Pakistan — driven by a frustration with fragmented, impersonal school platforms.
Traditional school platforms often feel administrative, fragmented, and disconnected from a child's daily curiosity.
Parents were struggling to stay aligned with classroom textbooks. Children were viewing vocabulary practice as a chore. Teachers were uploading to systems that nobody actually checked. The tools existed — but nothing connected them meaningfully.
Our founder, seeing this first-hand as a parent and technologist, set out to build a solution that put the child at the centre and invited both parents and teachers into the same nurturing digital space.
By combining cognitive science (spaced repetition), artificial intelligence (textbook asset extraction), and friendly gamification, OloTree was born.

The name OloTree stands for Our Learning Oasis — a place that is calm, nurturing, and full of growth. The Tree root symbolises deep, lasting knowledge — not shallow memorisation.

Privacy by Design
We do not answer to corporate ad brokers or data miners. Student data is compartmentalized, encrypted, and never sold. COPPA-alignment is not a checkbox — it is our founding constraint.
Cognitive Science First
Every feature is grounded in research. Spaced repetition, interleaved practice, and retrieval-based learning are baked into the architecture — not bolted on as a marketing claim.
Holistic Development
Vocabulary is the start, not the finish. OloTree is designed to eventually support the whole child — speech, character growth, parent communication, and community belonging.

OloTree is not a flashcard app with a fresh coat of paint. Every architectural decision — from the spaced-repetition intervals to the AI content pipeline — is grounded in how children actually learn.
Spaced Repetition Engine
Default review intervals of 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days are calculated per word, per child. Words encountered recently are shown more often; mastered words step back to make room for new ones.
AI OCR Pipeline
Teachers upload textbook lesson images. Our AI pipeline performs optical character recognition, extracts candidate vocabulary words, and creates a structured lesson — ready to assign to students.
Voice Engine (Soon)
Native-quality audio models for every vocabulary word, paired with a real-time pronunciation evaluator. Children hear correctly — then practise until they speak confidently.
Smart Diary
A proactive communication hub where teachers share upcoming tests 24 hours in advance and record character growth milestones. Parents receive structured, relevant updates — not noise.
